If you are interested in any of the instruction opportunities, Goodwill will provide the curriculum and an overview prior to first scheduled date.

YJC Student Orientations
4:00-5:30 pm and 5:30-7:00pm on Tuesdays (3/24, 3/31)

Customer Service Training Instructor
5:00–7:00pm
Wednesdays and Thursdays each week

Instruction Topics
a. What is good customer service?
b. How to give good customer service internally & externally
c. How to work with difficult customers
d. Includes FISH video and student/facilitator handouts

Job Readiness Training Part A
4:30–6:30pm
Monday & Wednesday of each week (3/23, 3/25, 3/30, 4/1)

Job Readiness training includes instruction of the topics in two parts (A and B). Preference would be for volunteers to do both parts A and B to provide consistency for the students.

d. Includes student workbook and facilitator handouts and interactive learning tools.

Job Readiness Training Part B Instructor
4:30–6:30pm

Teaching Assistant

Role: Provide needed help to main instructor

Greeter/Reception
4:00–7:00pm
Monday – Thursday each week
Role: Greet students and parents as they arrive and direct them to the appropriate areas

Job Connection Volunteer
4:00–7:00pm
Monday – Thursday each week
Role: Work the job connection by helping students fill out applications, use office equipment and answer questions.

Computer Lab Resume Assistant
4:00 – 7:00pm
Each Tuesday (beginning March 24).
Role: Assist students with Winway resume software and provide answers to questions.
