WIA Youth
The WIA Youth Program provides youth ages 16-21 with training and guidance to help prepare them for successful employment in a competitive workforce. Program services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual and may include: tutoring, GED preparation, paid and unpaid work experience, occupational skills training, leadership development opportunities, adult mentoring and supportive services such as transportation and childcare assistance. Schedule: The WIA Youth Program training, meetings and events will be held at two locations: Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont’s Career Development Center at 2122 Freedom Drive in Charlotte and Urban League of the Central Carolinas at 740 West Fifth Street in Charlotte.
