English as a Second Language
ESL Distance Learning Program
In partnership with Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and through a grant funded project, NC Project Ideal, Goodwill offers an English as a Second Language (ESL) distance learning program at the South Boulevard JobLink at 5125-A South Boulevard in Charlotte.
The 14-week ESL distance learning program allows students to improve their English skills at their own pace, own time and own place through an online English language course that focuses on reading, listening, writing skills, grammar and computer technology skills. Students attend an orientation and receive study materials, access to the online learning platform, and technology support as they complete the course.
Basic computer skills are required for the course. A 12-hour Goodwill computer assessment and training program will take place prior to enrollment in the ESL learning program.
