At Goodwill’s Computer Works store, you’ll find just about anything you can imagine that relates to a computer—at Goodwill prices! We have a wide array of refurbished computers, printers, software and related products.

Most new computer buyers tend to overspend in traditional retail stores. Come to us first and select from a range of internet-ready computer systems or purchase those hard-to-find individual components.

All proceeds from the sale of computers and merchandise from the Computer Works store help fund Goodwill’s job training and employment programs.

Complete Systems
We always have a variety of complete Windows-based systems on the sales floor. Most of these are considered mid-range in today’s market, but they’re great for school and office work, surfing the internet, and playing slightly older games. Shop with us, and get what you need for considerably less. Prices start at $50.

Macs
For Apple fans, our prices can’t be beat. We strive to have everything from old 68K Macs to Intel-based Macs. Mac compatible printers, keyboards, modems, mice, and more can be purchased separately if you already have a system.

Laptops
If you need your computer to go where you do, we can help. We typically have a selection of laptops that are great for on-the-go students and professionals. Prices start around $129, and on average range up to around $299. All laptops are loaded with the Windows XP Pro operating system.

Games
We have a long list of retro games from Odyssey, Coleco and Intellivision to Xbox, Playstation and GameCube, plus complete game systems and components including classic Nintendo. Our stock changes daily, so be sure to stop by often to check out our selection of hundreds of games for every system—even Nintendo DS and PSP.

Parts, Accessories, Peripherals and Textbooks
We have both internal and external parts including cards, cables, adapters and input devices; accessories such as keyboards, mice and surge protectors; and a selection of peripherals including printers, speakers, monitors, memory and hard drives.

Plus, we often have a wide range of computer textbooks and how-to books. New items are put on the shelves daily, and many of our customers stop by several times a week to see the new arrivals. You never know what unique items may turn up!

Vintage/Rare
For the nostalgic programmer or budding computer historian, we typically stock vintage items from Apple, Commodore, Atari, T.I., IBM and less common brands. These treasures don’t last long on our shelves!

From 85: Take the Freedom Drive exit and go south on Freedom Drive toward uptown Charlotte for 1.2 miles. Computer Works will be on the right at the Alleghany intersection.

From 77S: Take exit 10A Morehead Street, turn right at Morehead. Go 0.3 miles and turn right at Freedom Drive. Go 1.5 miles and turn left on Alleghany. Computer Works will be on your right.

From 77N: Take exit 9C, immediately take exit 1A to merge onto Freedom Drive. Go 1.8 miles and turn left on Alleghany. Computer Works will be on your right.
